Who Qualifies for a Non-Profit Rate?

Nonprofit organizations who want to mail at the nonprofit postal rate MUST qualify with the USPS, meeting nonprofit guidelines and applying through the USPS. Qualifications include organizations considered not-for-profit, documentation that none of its net income benefits any individual, documentation that states the purpose for which the group is organized, tax exemption under section 501(c)(3), documentation on how the organization operates and more. How to Apply for Non-Profit Rate?

You will need to apply for a nonprofit authorization number at your local USPS. There is no cost to obtain a nonprofit authorization number. All you have to do is fill out a simple application, and apply at your local USPS.
